📐 Scope and Material Requirements (Section 1)

ASTM Designation D2468–96a covers the standard specification for Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene (ABS) Plastic Pipe Fittings, Schedule 40. This specification establishes the necessary requirements for materials, workmanship, dimensions, and burst pressure to ensure the fittings are suitable for their intended applications, such as drainage, waste, and vent (DWV) systems.
