📋 Sampling Plan and Lot Size Requirements

This practice, designated D1485‑07, covers a uniform procedure for sampling solid natural rubber marketed in bales or packages. Primarily intended for referee purposes, the sampling plan is based on a variables plan where the sample size is determined by the lot size as per Table 1 of the standard. A sample bale is selected randomly from the lot for each sample required. The efficiency of this plan increases with larger lot sizes, reducing risk for both the producer and consumer. If the material exhibits obvious heterogeneity, the sample size must be increased.
